Band of Brothers:

Men’s Ministries at First Baptist Church is highlighted by our Band of Brothers Men’s Group. The Band of Brothers of First Baptist Church Weslaco, is a group of Christ following men who gather together for the purpose of discipling and empowering the men of the Church to live bold, courageous, strong, non-judgmental lives shaped by the love of Jesus.  As Brothers in Christ, we will BOLDLY and COURAGEOUSLY serve God, our families, each other, and all those in need.

Wednesday Night Studies:

Each Wednesday of the month at 6:15 PM, the Band of Brothers Men’s group gathers for a Bible Study in room 207 above the Church offices.  Our fellowship includes either a Bible or Book study, along with snack, fellowship, fun and discussion.  Our group has a very diverse group of men from all walks of life, and we welcome any man who would like to join us to attend.

Service:

As a duty to serve others, the Band of Brothers often teams up with other ministries within the First Baptist Church Weslaco to conduct service projects around the Mid-Valley. As men, we are committed to a service of assisting others in need, and our group is modeled to share God’s love and servant leadership.

Support:

As a group of men, The Band of Brothers Weslaco also exists to support one another in times of need.

ECCLESIASTES 4:9-12 (NIV)
9 TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD RETURN FOR THEIR LABOR: 10 IF EITHER OF THEM FALLS DOWN, ONE CAN HELP THE OTHER UP. BUT PITY ANYONE WHO FALLS AND HAS NO ONE TO HELP THEM UP. 11 ALSO, IF TWO LIE DOWN TOGETHER, THEY WILL KEEP WARM. BUT HOW CAN ONE KEEP WARM ALONE? 12 THOUGH ONE MAY BE OVERPOWERED, TWO CAN DEFEND THEMSELVES. A CORD OF THREE STRANDS IS NOT QUICKLY BROKEN
